The video draws entirely on material from the artist’s own phone gallery. Screenshots, photographs, and videos transformed through image-to-video AI into moving image. The structure recalls the Surrealist practice of the exquisite corpse: each image triggering the next in a chain of associative transformations, no single frame fully aware of what came before or after. Central to the work is humour: not scripted, but hidden within the random generative behaviour of AI models, surfacing in unexpected conjunctions and weird transitions, and the system’s particular gift for the unintended. The approach was ad hoc. No storyboard, no curatorial logic applied to the source material, only a personal archive handed over to a system indifferent to a specific narrative.
